Empowering Children With Tools for Success
The Brain Gym® program equips children with the essential tools to achieve success in all aspects of life, including the classroom, school, and social interactions. The program comprises 26 specially designed movements and related techniques, which are easy, fun, and comprehensible for kids of all ages.
Initially developed to enhance reading proficiency for struggling learners, Brain Gym® has expanded to more than 80 countries across the globe, positively impacting thousands of people.
At Brain FUNdamentals, we are proud to incorporate Brain Gym® into our program. The movements and other components of the program are integrated into our regular routine, adding a powerful dimension to Brain FUNdamentals. We are thankful for the opportunity to have it as part of our program.
Promoting Healthy Nervous System Development
Primitive Reflexes are natural movement patterns that occur from the fetal stage to the first few years of life. These involuntary movements help newborns adjust to their surroundings by adapting to various stimuli.
Ideally, these reflexes should disappear or become integrated after a specific period. However, if these movements are disrupted, the nervous system may remain stuck in a holding pattern, relying on primitive responses instead of more advanced voluntary movements.
To combat this, Primitive Reflex Integration aims to finish these reflexes, allowing the nervous system to grow and develop properly, resulting in positive changes and a healthy nervous system.
Significance of Rhythmic Movements for Infant Development
Unprompted and rhythmic movements play a crucial part in integrating Primitive Reflexes and “connecting” different parts of a baby’s brain to aid in the maturation process. These rhythmic movements develop within a specific timeframe while accounting for individual differences, providing the necessary sensory stimulation for proper brain development.
Rhythmic Movement Training imitates the natural, rhythmic movements observed in infants and supports the brain maturation and “connecting” process. The movements are gentle and calming, thereby aiding an over-worked nervous system.
The Benefits of Biofeedback
Muscle checking, also known as Applied Kinesiology, is a form of biofeedback that allows us to connect with the subconscious mind and gain valuable insights about the brain and body system.
By testing muscles in the body (typically the deltoid muscle), we can determine its state of balance or stress when exposed to specific stimuli.
Drawing on the client’s innate intelligence, muscle checking offers a straightforward approach to determine the next steps needed to restore homeostasis to the brain and body.
Releasing Negative Emotional Energy
In the early 1990s, Dr. Bradley Nelson created the Emotion Code system, which is a powerful method for removing negative emotional energy from the body.
Our emotions and bodies are both composed of energy, and emotions are influenced by current experiences as well as memories stored in our minds and bodies. As energy affects other energy, it’s plausible that our emotions can impact our physical state.
The Emotion Code aims to identify and eliminate any emotional energies that may be affecting our bodies. The process is fast, easy, and is frequently requested by both children and adults.
A Powerful Method for Alleviating Stress and Accessing Energy
Tapping shares the same principles as the Emotion Code. It acknowledges that disturbances in the body’s energy can lead to negative reactions that affect one’s physical and mental state. Unlike acupuncture, which uses needles to stimulate meridian points, Tapping involves applying pressure with the fingers.
By harnessing the body’s energy, Tapping can effectively provide stress relief. At Brain FUNdamentals, we teach clients simple Tapping techniques that they can easily integrate into their daily routine. By teaching your children Tapping, you can give them the tools to take care of their own well-being.
